Polymarket Investigations Dropped by Justice Department, CFTC: Bloomberg

cryptoemg

The U.S. Department of Justice and Commodity Futures Trading Commission have ended investigations into crypto-powered prediction markets platform Polymarket, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing an unnamed source familiar with the actions.

U.S. authorities last year began investigating the platform for allegedly allowing Americans to use its services. Polymarket had previously reached an agreement with the CFTC in 2022 after failing to register with the regulator.

Decrypt has reached out to Polymarket, the DOJ, and the CFTC for comment.
